Center Grove HS Takes on a Flood

Center Grove HS will present Norma Winston's rendition of “Here Comes the Flood”, originally done by Peter Gabriel.

Winstone's poetic mode of delivery offers up a distinct intimacy with pianist Glauco Venier and bass clarinetist Klaus Gesing. The Music is teaming with wondrous harmonic content, melodically oriented contrasts and shifting pulses, which elicit notions of floating on a cloud to compliment the trios yearning chorus and sublime solo spots. Altogether, this churns the classic into a whispery storyline which sings directly to your heart. Performing a program that provokes imagery of a world with no land, Center Grove takes an introspective look at our planet and the lives that we live daily, in hope that we don't take it for granted.

This year you can catch Center Grove at the WGI Dayton Power Regional, and the WGI Indianapolis Power Regional, as well as the World Championships in April.

Color guard teaches so much to the participants on how to be happy in life. I also thank a "City Slicker", Doug Young, for his ardent support of the CGCG. Best of everything for the upcoming competitive season.

center grove winter guard was there at the very begining of the wgi high school class and remains steadfast and competitive to this day!
