Braddock Announces New Staff for 2009 ShareThis

April Gilligan, Executive Director of Braddock Independent World Guard announced the appointment of Daniel Riley as Artistic Director and Alex Perez as Assistant Director of Braddock Independent World Guard. Daniel and Alex bring a commitment to excellence and a fresh approach to Braddock’s history of crowd pleasing, energetic performances. "I will continue to guide the organization as well as manage my new maternal responsibilities," April reports.

Daniel marched with Frankton H.S., Adagio and Cadets of Bergen County. He has been Director of Northmont H.S. and Stoneman Douglas H.S. Scholastic World guard and is currently the Director of West Broward H.S. program. He has also taught at various high schools and independent units around the country. He has performed with Blast! and spent this summer as an instructor with The Cadets. Alex marched with Boston Crusaders, Carolina Crown and has been an instructor at various Miami high schools, Magic of Orlando Drum Corps, Santa Clara Vanguard Drum Corps and Braddock Independent World Guard.

“We are very fortunate to have Daniel on board and I look forward to working with him, Alex and the rest of the staff feel that Braddock will greatly benefit from Daniel’s leadership, talent and unique perspective”, says April. “We plan to provide our members the best possible resources for a successful, productive, fun year and can’t wait for the season to start” she adds.
