The Black Watch Color Guard is excited to present their 2009 production “Underneath It All.” The title refers to the many faces an individual may wear during the course one’s life. In a constant struggle to animate a persona or keep up appearances some times the greatest challenge any individual may have to overcome is learning to be ones own self. Wash away the make-up and look and yourself in the cold mirror of honesty or face being left alone.
The musical accompaniment for this season’s presentation is artist Judy Collin’s famous rendition of the Steven Sondhiem masterpiece “Send In the Clowns” from his 1973 haunting musical drama “A Little Night Music.”
The Black Watch staff includes Joe Heininger, Jude Boughton, Joyce Wolfrom-Roos, Toni Tunstal, Matt Hurley, and Sam Brooks . The Black Watch is under the direction of Mrs. Claudette Wolfrom.
This season’s 28-member ensemble is led onto the floor by guard captains Katie Gallagher and Erin Liefert.
The Black Watch Winter Guard will be attending the Trumbull and South Brunswick Power Regional and the WGI World Championships. The Black Watch is a long time and proud member of the Tournament Indoor Association for over 40 years.
